Street EVO X

I've been slowly working on this car for awhile adding bits and pieces and most importantly, driving it sideways! It's got some light battle scars, we have been having fun here at Tekin messing with drifting. Carpet is pretty much all we have in the winter time, but it's really consistent and my setup works pretty well on it. Nothing fancy, no CS, but maybe in the future. Here's my setup:

XRay T1 FK'05 (converted to T2 knuckles, hubs and swingshafts)
Tekin RS
Tekin Gen2 10.5
Tekin 2S 3400
Hitec HSC 5996-TG
Spektrum SR3300T
HPI Evo X
Volk TE37s +6 Black
Dunlop Direzza SportZ1 T-Drifts
Locked rear diff

nice:=):
Hi Ty! Your car looks pretty sweet man. I am Jeremy from oneTEN Drift Network (a group of drifters that meet in sacramento, ca to get their slide on). I do have to tell you that your car is 50/50 because both front and rear axles are being driven by the same gear ratios, or pulleys. A CS car will have the front axle spin slower and the rear axle spin slower. A cs setup car creates the need to counter steer thru the entire corner. Not like a 5050 where you only flick countersteer to catch the slide.

Anywayz great to meet you Ty and enjoy the fourms@driftmission! I know I am! Cya

Hey thanks for clearing that up! I like the idea of a CS setup, looks more realistic and should be a little more challenging! I can just change the rear to spin faster with a smaller main diff pulley? I think I've got some parts to do that, hopefully the right belt too.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm always adding things, I can't help it!
hey ty theres a thread going on in the HPI/Hotbodies section about CS help.

essentially what you want to do is go with a bigger gear on the front axle, smaller front layshaft, bigger rear layshaft and smaller rear axle.

i run 40 front axle, 14 front layshaft, 21 rear layshaft, and 32 rear axle.

hope this helps!!

Cool, thanks! I'll look and see what I have for parts for this dinosaur.
