I have almost completed my tc5 cs conversion. i switched the front centre pully from 20 to 15 and the rear pulley from 40 to 32. i am still experiementing with front belts to find the right size. i am currently using a HPI 170t(which is actually a 169t) and it is a little bit tight.

HPI Sprint 2 (32T) - [HPI-85063]
HPI Sprint 2 (15T) - [HPI-85016]
HB Cyclone TC (170T) - [HPI-66493]
XRAY KEVLAR REAR BELT RC 305442

i hope that this belt will fit a bit better
HOT BODIES CYCLONE 66493 FRONT BELT 510 (170T)

i have a spool rear diff and a front oneway and the suspension is standard hard front upright and soft rear laydown. zero toe front and rear,4 degree front camber with 2 on the rear and 6 degree castor up front.

i originally buy this belt
http://www.ebay.com/itm/180976659396?ssP...1439.l2649

and now i try this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/350669854822?ssP...1439.l2649

the first belt says 170t on the packet but it is actually 169t. i hope that the 2nd one is really a 170 and not 169
Excel table for help with calculating final gear ratio for countersteer mods

40 T 20 T 20 T 32 T
= =
FRONT 2 REAR 1.6

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR WHEELS OVERDRIVE PERCENTAGE
CS Internal
1.25 25.00 %

Pinion 17 Spur 84

Gear Ratio 4.941176471

Front FDR 9.882352941 Rear FDR 7.905882353

CS FDR 6.176470588

do these ratios sound about right guys?

the new belt was one tooth longer and has worked well.

40 20 20 32

1.25%

which will be barely noticable... i would go at least 50%
30% is already very noticable. Its a nice way of getting used to the CS setups without actually having to 'CS' a lot.

i dunno tizer. i bumped my buddy from 50/50 to 40% and he said he didnt even notice it...
thanks for the input guys:B): i started at 1.75 then 1.67(and struggled of course:lolSmile so i thought i would give 1.25 a try to compare.
my chassis is still not handling very well as i cant get a even right hand side drift. to the left is fine but to the right it just turns around even with just a tiny input of steering. time to rebuild the shocks and check tweak etc:lol:[/u]
Remember any CS can work as long as you setup the vehicle correctly, stick to one CS percentage and tune your car, make all points balanced and equal, then work on your suspension.

my car is visiting my local TC Doctor(:B)Smile for a tweak and weight balance checkup.with the suspension fiddling i have been working thru i have noticed positives and negatives so i think i have some direction with that. i will then go back to 1.67 as a starting point. i drift mostly on big open track so higher ratio might make it harder
