Whats up DM,
Took some time last night to upgrade a few things on my TT01 and thought I would share.
Maybe ill make it my TT01's official build thread and throw up some extra pictures from the beginning.
Ordered the infamous Leopard ESC/Motor combo from RCmart. It was $65 shipped and so far so good (keeping my fingers crossed haha)
First off let me say, build quality (aesthetically) is there. The anodized finish seems of top shelf quality. Fitment was on point as far as the motor and mounting of it. Everything aligned perfectly and I was able to swap from my brushed set up to this in under 15 mins. ESC programming is EXACTLY like the castle. Programming card is easy to use and set up for you out of the box. Modifications are only needed if you want a custom setting.
I chose the 9T 4370KV due to the fact that this isn't a TRUE 540 motor and really a 380 in a heat sinked "540 can". Therefore it's probably a true 12 or 13T in real 540 size? Don't know too much about electronics.
I am new to RC cars about two months now, I am always up to learn new things, opinions and criticism always welcome!
Thanks for reading.
Before I tackled the install and tidy up the wiring. The on/off switch is too small to fit in the original Tamiya Location.
Installed
Cleaned up wiring a bit. I know I could get technical with it but it was late :=I:
