Well I've been doing S-Chassis's for a long time now so I decided to mix it up a little bit and try my hand at an R34.
I'm not quite sure what made me go red, I just decided as I was standing in Gogo Hobbies that I wanted a red car.
Little flake makes EVERYTHING better!
Then it was time to try something I'd never successfully managed... A custom Roll cage... in Styrene...
By the 2nd or 3rd try I was getting my bends almost perfect. A tutorial i stumbled across on making plumbing pipes for buildings in styrene gave me a great idea to bend. I've tried everything over the years, brake line benders, pivot points, bending by hand with gloves. Nothing worked until this. No flat spots and a really nice bend!
Here's the cage from the outside and a little mockup of my wing placement (didnt actually go that route).
and here's my final test fit on my current FR-D chassis.
I'll post up some better pictures and more of them when it's all completed.
