what are the best parts to use to save the most money? best bang/buck...dont even care if plastic really. id rather not spend 45 for lower arms, 45 for knuckles and another what, 20-30 for an upper...and then you have to get tires and probably a set of wheels if youre anything like me and hate swapping tires on wheels.

on like 3 websites for the known active hobby/mst/wrap up parts to do the mod my checkout price was up there...is it THAT worth doing the mod? any way to do this for 60$ or less by modding the stock aluminum lower arms that are coming on my clone?
i'd like to know this too.
i think the cheapest option for a kpi mod is to drill a hole to your suspension arm and connect two upper turnbuckles to your tower and upper deck.just google it and you will find plenty of photos with kpi mods.i hope this helps

cheapest is MST plastic y arms drilled to 3mm shaft pins and MST plastic KPI knuckles. Or look for r2hobbies parts for matching clone parts.

Louie has got it right.

Here is the list of MST parts you will need:

As for the upper arms, I would spend the extra cash and get yourself something like the wrap up uppers like these:

Why you ask? well these are basically plug and play in your shock towers, no hassle, and you can create a monoshock setup very easily by adding extended ball ends to the threaded holes. I wouldn't cut corners on uppers. Plus getting cheaper plastic ones will be prone to play and eventually bend on high impact.

Add some bearings for the knuckles and a set of ball ends to attach the whole thing and you're set.
Good luck.
