D4 RWD steering help
#1
Hi all, new here and need some help with my D4 steering.

I'm running the sport black edition chassis with a curved slide rack, 3racings tiny kpi knuckles, 3racing aluminum lower arms and modified standard upper arms (to adjust caster to fairly low. 3° maybe, can't measure).

The problem I'm having is at full lock my leading wheel has alot of free movment and likes to pull itself around and bind up the whole steering system.
For now I've had to put long grub screws into the knuckle to limit the throw to stop it jamming.
I've tried every different hole configuration with no success so figured it was time to farm it out to the experts. Hoping someone can tell me where I've gone wrong here.

Also, if anyone has a suggestion on what tyres best suit a no so smooth concrete surface that'd be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

can you tell me how to upload photos?i had photobucket but it isnt free any more
Parts you will need
2wd axle :310049
kpi upright set:210060
also you will need 11x5 bearings(2)(120011) for the outer and for the inner bearings stock d4 are fine.the big ones that came with the original kit
also for tires i run on grippy parking lot cement and i found that mst gold(101025) and RC926-DT08 give very good slide but also have grip.keep in mind that my car is very heavy because of many alloy parts.
when i will be able to upload photos you will see.please tell me if you need atg else

Try with imgur and link the image

I'm still looking into working it into the forum directly.  This should work in the interim.

This is a practice video i made.i was running the RC926 tires back and MST FR-F blue dot in the front. i am planning on making videos about setup and rebuild the car for accurate and useful tips and tricks.

Thanks buddy I'll look into it.
My knuckles have the 5x10x4 all around so I'll have to work out the bearings i need to find

Seems like you have a pretty good set up going there, mine is also heavy from alloy and my side bars.

I use to use photobucket till the ridiculous cost came into it. Now i just use tapatalk.
