Hi everyone just bought myself this HB cyclone chassis Im a complete newbie to drifting RC cars but not driving RC cars in general it has been a while though and things change pretty fast. At the moment the chassis is in full touring car mode has anyone got any tips on setup/parts I have what is in the picture only.

Welcome again,

It looks nice and clean..

Well i know for a fact that if you setup like most of the guys in our danish drift league, it would benefit the beginners too..

So the front is supposed to be higher than the rear, have the front being a medium hardness on the springs and #300 oil.

The rear is best if it is soft, soft springs and #200 oil in them to increase the rear stability..

Camber and Toe: Camber in the front, if you are having trouble with grip while drifting, if it feels too responsive so to start with -1 and go from there is the logic choice, remember try and feel how the car changes, same goes for the rear, the more 0 camber the more grip in the beginning but less while sideways (weight transfer). Toe out is a favorit in the front since it allows the car to be agile and react faster than if it had Toe in, though that will give the car more stability and dull

I can't tell if the car comes stock at 50/50 for now, but i presume it is, but that's fine to start with, but it would do you good if you could try and find some settings for Counter steering, because that is what mainly people are doing besides Rwd.
MST XXX-D VIP - CS 2.0 - Main

MST FMX-D PRO - RWD - Main

MST RMX-S 2.0 - RWD - Secondary

Excellent post thanks very much for the advice Im going to mod the chassis for counter steer as like you say everyone seems to be going that way Ive been reading and it seems you can use 3 racing parts to mod the steering angle. Im going to do a load of research and build it to a good level it may take me a while as Ive got a full size race car on the go as well (not a drifter).  :=):
Hi, just wondering how this is working out as a drift setup? What mods have you made? I see a good deal on one RTR right now. I'm debating on that or building a Sakura D4 Carbon/Alloy clone kit, which will ultimately be much more expensive.
