A little thing I wanted to experiment with

Had some nice rims, but they weren't deep dish enough so I cut the center out with my knife (be careful and score little lines over and over!). Then I used some heavy duty super glue and formula 56 canopy glue and glued the center back in. tomorrow I see how strong it is Big Grin

The other thing is the balance, never going to be 100% ever again. I love the idea so want to know how you get on. Smile

The trick I used was mounting it in the exact same spot as before as well as using depth gauge and a level to ensure that it was completely center.

Clever! I might have to give this a try but knowing my luck, will go horribly wrong. Thanks for the idea

i'm going to mount the tires and test it out tomorrow on the hard pavement/ashphalt and see what it does. if it works good then i can suggest to others to try it!
I've seen in the past to get the deep dish look is to cut the lip off the back of the rim and glue it to the front. So depending on how much offset, you can cut further in to give you a bigger lip. I wish I can show you an example... I feel you would lose structural integrity with your cut... But I can see the advantage over what you've done. It looks like you can have 0 offset to 15+
