It was monster trucks that got me back into RC after a 5 or so year break.  All my co-workers had trucks so i wanted one too and ended up getting a Tamiya TNX 5.2R for only $110 on a lucky winning bid.

I loved that truck.  It was already modified with the Proline suspension not to mention 5.2 stock was one of the biggest engines at the time.  The box labeled it as having a top speed of 65mph but I call bullshit on that one.  Still it was  wicked fast truck and a bit too overpowered.  Damn thing was always dong backflips from a deadstop or wheelies at speed.  Monster trucks are like the ultimate fun machine when you go camping, or to the beach, or when there's nothing smooth enough to drift on!
Don't be a douche and help the next guy.
