motor getting hot

Warning 
I am running a vxl 3s esc with a team checkpoint 10x2T brushed motor.
90t counter gear 19t pinion 16/16 center 36r/36f, final drive ratio 3.6
cs ratio 1 cs percentage 0.
7.2v 3000mah
I have a 19t pinion but it changes fdr to 4.74
the problem is the motor is getting too hot.......help

oh and im running a posi in rear and ball diff in front

You need to go up to a fdr around 6.0 to lower your temps

what pinion did you have before, 22T? my speed passion 9.5t FDR is way lower than that and no issues, did you check if it is normal for that brand to run hot? good luck, but like Rob said get bigger gear and pinion.
