Mount bodyparts
#1
Hi. What's your best choice when it comes to mounting bodyparts? wide fenders, bumpers, engine bays etc. Glue before primer, or any other smart trick I don't know about? :D

I use clear "Shoe Goo" for attaching body parts. Trimming and paint before attachment. Masking tape to hold them in place while the goo dries.

You can get Shoe Goo on ebay.

I had always heard that Shoo Goo was the best way to attach the body parts...I have to throw up some words of caution on using Shoo Goo. Test it first on a scrap!! I attached my light buckets and bumpers with Shoo Goo and in a couple of days it started showing through my paint. I could Strip the body and start over, but I have a bunch of work into it. It may just become my thrasher/ test body.

That's exactly why I always recommend RTV clear silicone. Shoe Goo is too harsh for some RC paints.
