s13 work in progress

I finally got the ball rolling on this project so I thought I would make a thread.
The body is the Pandora s13, Enjoy!

   

The first step was to get the fitment rite. so I ordered the riveted speedway-pal fenders to accommodate the wheels I wanted to use.

   

I mounted these with speedway-pal body screws

   

ready for paint! (almost...)

   

The tamiya aluminium paint looks spot on imo, im almost tempted to keep it.
Very thin though, used two cans:=L:

wow! can't wait for the finish product ^_^

So I finally finished off the painting.

first few coats of red on :=):





I put a flat clear coat over the top, had to use normal plastics paint though because none of the local hobby shops even new that flat clear polycarb paint exists :=S:





And she's all done :=):
Im pretty happy with the result, just gotta do the final touches like wup 3d stickers, muffler, roll cage and other fun stuff.




I will probably be mounting the bumpers with magnets or something so that they fall off if I hit things :^^:

Started on the roll cage   :=):  (my first one!)

It would look better if you make body lines. Although it's a very nice body!

Looks brilliant buddy how did you paint the body did you paint it on the outside and use flat clear over the top?
