Spooke's Wrap-Up Next FR-D
#1
A friend recently became a distributor for Wrap-Up Next and I couldn't resist buying an FR-D off him! Always wanted one after seeing them ages ago - just never had a Yokomo base to build it on, until now :)

Didn't really take many pictures of building it as I couldn't wait to get it together!

These pictures were taken just after I built it,

After running it last Thursday at a local track (Prima GT Carpet) I found that it was just about lifting the rear wheel on full lock and the shocks were just terrible - they were just standard Yokomo shocks with oil.

So I took the Eagle Racing shocks off my TA05 and set up the front with TA05-IFS rocker arms, it now means that I have no issue with the wheels hitting the shocks when steering - limiting the steering angle, and it feels a lot more controllable and the rear no longer lifts.

Here are some updated photos,

Cheers guys, really enjoying it, wish I bought one ages ago when I first saw it.

Small video of me messing around, the tyres are the Wrap-Up Next Mediums - as you can see the grip is lacking with them. Going to use Softs when I buy a set, probably MST Softs..

sweet man.. been contemplating about this chassis for a very long time.. and i love the rocker arm setup.. TA05 rocker arms are the best DIY for anything it looks like because i have done the same setup on my D3.. hehe.. great job and it looks its stable on the vid... awesomeness..

Thanks man! As you can see I now run shocks, it handles a lot better with the shocks..
