Toyota Zero Crown - Which VIP Color?
#1
I picked up a Toyota Zero Crown body for my 275mm chassis conversion and I'm trying to decide between the following colors:

Tamiya Metallic Red (PS-15)
Tamiya Iridescent Pink/Gold (PS-47)
Tamiya Champagne Gold (PS-52)

Most of the VIP-style bodies that I've seen posted tend to be either white, black, or a dark metallic color so I thought maybe either of the gold paints would be an interesting change of pace. Another option would be to go with Metallic Red as the main body color, but black-out the bonnet and boot, but that would diverge from the whole VIP look.

I decided to go with Tamiya Metallic Red (4 coats) backed with Tamiya Gold (3 coats) and then Tamiya Black (2 coats). The end result was a color very similar to the red Yokomo uses for my DIB's aluminum parts. Pictures to be added soon.

Thanks, I need to finish laying down the decals and I'm thinking about redoing the windows with black trim and proper tinting.
