Looking for good cheap adjustable shocks... I dont want to pay $40 for only 2 from hpi lol.
hmmmm.. well i know the TRF are pretty good.. set of 4 for around 60.. and from what i have been reading they are the best by what people are saying..
yeah they are really the only solution unfortunately you have to pay for quality
you could also do what i did and get the Enroute JXR shocks from japan. I paid $40 with shipping for them
Well... scratch the price I wanted to pay.. what would be better to get? Tamiya trf, hpi competition aluminum threaded shocks or the hpi aluminum threaded shocks...
trf
hands down Trf. I just purchased a set for my Fr-d, they are on sale at rc mart right now, they msrp for 128 usd

Just put a set of TRF shocks on my sprint 2 today, They made a huge difference in the way the car drifts. I'd also get some stiffer springs for the rears.
Not sure if any of you guys ran these before but my friend tried it out and it worked, we are running thunder tiger sparrow hawk shocks, I'll be trying to get the MST 21mm spring set to get the softer springs.

Either way, the shocks are pretty awesome.

Here is a link, even though I ordered mine on eBay.

Anyways, just throwing some info out there in case anyone is interested.
TRF. There's a reason why so many companies copy the design.
