You're definitely not the only one, those dcraft buckets are a nice, realistic touch, I only wish they had fit the hpi body & not only yokomo brand ones.

I actually tried them on yesterday, and they weren't that bad (I'm building a HPI AE86 body). Some custom modifications must be done, but it's doable

You're right, it is very doable. If you've got access to tamiya putty, then use that on the outside housing (the part that doesn't flip up). Press it to the inside of your shell. You then get an excellent mould that fits directly to the hpi shell. I had pre cut my headlight surround to fit the stage d body kit on the hpi ae86 coupe so I couldn't make them work without tearing it all back apart, customizing the front end, & then repainting everything.

Thanks for your tips, Good to have in hand when starting to mount the stage d body kit

My plas was to use shoe goo to fasten all the parts, should I order some tamiya putty instead?
No, IMO the shoe goo is the best thing you can use for mounting parts to your body. It still allows the body to be flexible & is very easy to work with.
