  Reventon S no reverse..
Posted by: Sprint2kac - 12-26-2016, 05:01 PM - Forum: Help Section - No Replies

I just updated the firmware hoping it would help, but it didn't. Ever since I've installed this esc in my car I've had no reverse except for random times when it works for a split second and then nothing. I've changed the settings in the program card and reset it a few times. Nothing seems to work.. is this a problem others have had.? It kinda sucks having no reverse lol. Also every time I turn the car on now (the last few days, no changes made at that point) it starts running in reverse, blip the throttle to stop it and let the gyro center, and car drives fine minus the reverse.. please help

How to turn up Cs ratio
Posted by: Benz Goh - 12-26-2016, 03:50 AM - Forum: Help Section - Replies (12)

I recently just got a 2nd hand Sakura d3, i currently own a mst ms01d vip too. I want to turn up the cs ratio to around 1.8 for my sakura but i dont know how to make the cs ratio higher, i changed my cs ratio on my mst before with the included pulley and belt. For the front you put a smaller pulley and belt right , for the back i am not to sure, do you put a bigger pulley and a bigger belt or smaller ones. But is it recommended to turn the the ratio that high for my sakura ? I am still using the stock steering angle for my sakura. Thanks.

Posted by: aackjw - 12-26-2016, 02:14 AM - Forum: Help Section - No Replies

Hello.
I recently purchased sakura d4 rwd and been looking around the possible hop ups. I'm getting Usukani knuckle for sure but wondering if 3racing brake disc will fit on it without mode or I should try different brand.
Please share your experience.
Thank you in advance.

  MS-01d RTR Stutter
Posted by: Tom - 12-25-2016, 02:50 AM - Forum: Help Section - Replies (3)

Today I got my first ever rc drift car ( ms-01d rtr) and i had to change the plugs on it to tamiya beacause  I didnt have any extra deans plugs laying around. I was driving my car for a good 20 mionutes before it started stuttering and I just thought the battery was low so i charged it until the battery was fully charged and I plug it in and pull down the throttle, it goes for about 20 seconds before it started stuttering again. I think the main problem is the esc because it isn't flashing at all or the receiver. Any help would be awesome,
Thanks,
Tom

hey guys. new to advanced rc drifting. I recently bought my D4 and finished building it. Noticed that kpi is a big problem with the rwd chassis. Ive read that the MST KPI upright knuckle works well with it, but was wondering what other parts i need to buy with it other than the upper arm. Thanks!! (I'm sorry in advance if there is already a thread that covers this issue, but i cant seem to find anything)

  Eagle TT02 RWD
Posted by: vlozity - 12-14-2016, 10:21 PM - Forum: Eagle Racing - Replies (9)

A friend of mine lent me his slightly used kit with the option to buy, I think i will keep it.

For now I moved most of the stuff from my Hotbodies TC-FD build, I was having issues setting it up the kit to the way i drive. What I moved are the Usukani knuckles, mono shock, TRF dampers and the electroics.

Using the front stock knuckles, I was having issues configuring the steering, It took way longer to adjust caster since there is not option. Installing the usukani's allowed me faster access to caster adjustments but ended up adjusting the top arms to add more.

I hope someone can show me the steering settings you used for full lock, this is the only thing left for me to do. The kit is handline well, but not perfect, I think I had the TC-FD dialed down and it was handling better than this TT02.

Here are some pic of my build...

New and looking for suggestions on an incoming D4 RWD
Posted by: sacapuntass - 12-14-2016, 11:25 AM - Forum: Introductions - Replies (2)

hello! I finally got bored modding my little tt02's for drifting and decided to pick up my first rwd and ended up getting a sakura D4 kit off of rcmart, it came with a gyro, servo, and a cool NOS weight bottle :)

I would appreciate any suggestions for parts I still need! I was also curious if any of my tt02's electronics and motor would work or work temporarily until I learn what motor would be better.

Radio: (will this work?) Tactic TTX300 3-channel SLT system
ESC: (will this work?)  TBLE-02S tamiya brushless esc 025
Motor: (will this work?) Mabuchi RS-540 Torque Tuned Tamiya
Pinion: (is this okay?) 48p 21t
Battery: *Need suggestion*
Servo: Yeah Racing Hackgear Drift low-pro digital .08
Gyro: Yeah Racing High Precision gyro GC301

I also picked up an adjustable steering assembly, upgraded front knuckles & rear hub carriers, new bearings and magnetic body shell posts for my subaru body that has been awaiting its chassis.

Thanks for looking!
Here is the body, and one of my dogs.

I am new to the drift world but not the hobby. I have multiple trucks but just got my first HPI car for $50. It was in a guys closet for a long time so not sure if electronics work yet, as I don't wanna use the battery that's in it. I was wondering if anyone could identify this car and point me in the direction of parts and any tips/help is appreciated. Thanks!

Also, I was limited to what I could upload so these are the only ones that would go through.

  Tail Lights Ideas

Hey all, I wanted to move away from the sticker lights and get light buckets. For the S15, I only like the front light buckets but no the rear (not a fan of the euro look). What paint would I use to paint the inside so that I get the same red and white look but also transparent? I saw someone do their own light buckets with styrene and I wanted to attempt doing the back lights myself. Hopefully I explained myself properly. Below is what I want to achieve using paint instead of leaving the sticker.

Hey i was wondering what RC cars would fit a Pandora drift car body. Looking for something RWD to drift inside or asphalt. Trying not to go broke on this, preferably around $100 or less.

Just got a D3. How to run it reliably?
Posted by: BambooSwordBa - 12-09-2016, 03:13 AM - Forum: 3 Racing - Replies (8)

I just got an used D3. It came as rolling chassis with FOW.
After an inspection I found that it doesn't have rear belt tensioner but the previous owner simply raise the bulkhead housing so the tension is just right.
However centre belt is shaken like mad on full throttle. Other than this it doesn't appear to have any problem. No CVD chatter at full lock. Everything is smooth.

So I'm ordering these parts
- D3 belt tensioner. I only got one to support the centre belt. Should I get more for rear belt too?
- Belt set 138T, 519T and 186T as spare. I consider this consumable because it will wear out eventually. My current rear belt is 183T. Will this mean I really have to use tensioner?
- Aluminum hex wheel adapter 5mm
- New wheels. I just want a set of white wheels that's all.
What more do I need to have a reliable car without any potential breakage?

I'm running RacerStar 3900kV motor + 60A ESC and 5200mAh 2S battery that fits snugly in to the tray. I don't think I'll pull it out because it'll bend the top plate.
I only had a chance to run it for half a battery pack. My initial impression is this car is very easy to drive compare to my micro drifter (1/28 scale, 50:50).
I was expecting it to spin out because I read that 2.1 CS ratio maybe too much for beginner, which I consider that I'm one. This is my first 1/10 drift car after all.
I love how violent the rear kicks out and it only kicks out whenever I want to.

Here are some pics.

Preventing screws from getting stuck on aluminum parts
Posted by: aackjw - 12-09-2016, 12:07 AM - Forum: Help Section - Replies (5)

Hello.
This is more like general question rather than specific situation. I believe many people share the same issue with screws being stuck in metal parts and the head of screw gets messed up.
Is there any tip to prevent this from happening ?
I appreciate you sharing in advance.

  Sakura D3 won't go straight!
Posted by: sneezmaster112 - 12-08-2016, 11:45 AM - Forum: Help Section - Replies (2)

So I've got a Sakura d3 and have been messing with it for about a month now but I for some reason can't get it to drive straight which makes it real hard to initiate or setup for corners. I've messed with the front toe thinking it was all messed up and it was however it hasn't fixed my problem. It's stock and also has the solid diffs front and rear, stock cs ratio. Is this just a rc drift thing or am I missing something?

Now also I am still playing with the suspension I have it to where it slides nicely and will hold a good drift but I can't get it to transition consistently. Any suggestions on this? Thanks for any help guys.
