Spinning out - Drift12345678 - 06-25-2017

hello everyone so after building my d4 rwd it keeps spinning out. I am running it on very smooth concrete. I am using the stock tires,-4 front camber,-1 in the back, 8 mm in the front hiegt and 6 mm in the back. That is my current setup.

Do you suggest a different setup?
Should I get a gyro?
 Thanks for help and viewing

RE: Spinning out - Gramps50 - 06-25-2017

I start by putting a gyro in it. Almost impossible to drift a RWD without one. Next I would look at tires. I'd try some MST FR-F in the front & CS-R in the rear either silver or gold dot.

Thanks for helping out. I will buy a gyro soon and see if it helps

Thanks... how about boom racing ??

RE: Spinning out - Gramps50 - 06-26-2017

Haven't heard good things about the Boom, the Oniski gyro is good several of the guys at my local track run them and like them. You can pick them up new for about $25

Alright thanks so much for the help. I will be picking up the gyro soon and hopefully that resolves the problem

RE: Spinning out - Woodsnail - 07-04-2017

There is lot's of gyro's out there, some better than most of them, since many is just a knock off.

The few that stands out for the rest:

D-like Guild One X (Plastic)
D-Like Guild One X (Aluminium)
Overdose DAIS Drift Spec (New product)
MST 3.0 RS
MST 2.0 RS
MST 2.0 S
HPI Dbox 2.0
Yokomo YG-302 (plastic)
Yokomo RPG-302 (Aluminium)
Sanwa SGS-01C

Other brands

Onisiki Alu (D-like replica)
Yeah Racing GC301
Yeah Racing Hackslider Drift Tuned Gyro
GWS Piezo Gyro
Futaba GYC440
Slidelogy Aluminum (D-like replica)
LasseGashi gyro (D-like replica)

In our RC club, we are using the D-like, MST 3.0/2.0 and Yokomo YG/RPG 302 - but maybe some is gonna try the new Overdose.

The MST lineup, Yokomo, D-like or a Onisiki (D-like replica) should be good these days..
