awesome chassis

RE: eunique's 3Racing Sakura D3 CS Sport - eunique - 11-07-2012

update:

I used Integy gold springs on front shocks (sourced from a shock set that I use in my Sakura Zero S)
took it out for practice run on carpet at drift track at my LHS....was understeering and rear felt better planted....moved the front upper shock mount in towards the center...
more practice..and the results were very good

So is that the third hole from the inner most position or the second?

It's the 3rd hole from center...and again that was after some stiffer springs.

cool I might mess around with my setup again

new pic after doing carbon fiber mod on my cheap eBay Nissan S15 body.

RE: eunique's 3Racing Sakura D3 CS Sport - eunique - 11-15-2012

So, had some more practice runs today at my LHS carpet drift track...made some changes prior to some practice runs.

I lowered by CS ratio down to 1.81 CS
used 20T 3Racing aluminum pulley for rear center pulley

and FDR of 7.66 on an Xerun 8.5T motor using 110T spur and 26T pinion (64 pitch)

I also moved out the front lower shock mount to one more outer hole on the lower arms...
readjusted the ride height by adding more preload with the adjustable collars.

I gotta say..I'm even happier..able to take drifts faster (could be a combination of getting more practice also)
and getting better used to CS drifting...also getting better at switchbacks.

I just did some more tweaking, changed camber to 6* negative camber for front and rear.
Switched out to 1* toe in rear aluminum suspension mount and moved the rear lower shock mount position to the inner most setting so he rear shock is more upright.
Front has been moved 3* toe out
