RE: Fully hopped up D3 - robb41488 - 12-14-2012 looks good but im scared to see the price.... RE: Fully hopped up D3 - pickled - 12-14-2012 I think it would be under $450 RE: Fully hopped up D3 - robb41488 - 12-14-2012 GD!!!! thats the price range of a new tc-fd or DIB..... and $200 more then a r31-16fm... baller but worth it? maybe RE: Fully hopped up D3 - pickled - 12-14-2012 It's good to drive feels heaps smoother than the kit version. I have to set it up but even just drifting it straight from the bench is a marked improvement over what it was as the kit. Just set it up and it's really nice easy to switch direction. It handles completely differently to my original D3 an excellent drifter I think. I'm still running my KPI mod with -10* camber at the front and -6* camber at the rear RE: Fully hopped up D3 - pickled - 12-14-2012 took it for a test run last night and it's really a sweet ride RE: Fully hopped up D3 - pickled - 12-15-2012 (12-15-2012, 12:05 AM)Dorvack Wrote: I take it you won't be doing the inboard mod on this chassis. lol no I'll use the plastic one when I rebuild it after christmas RE: Fully hopped up D3 - skr8pn - 12-15-2012 Nice work bud, it looks real good with the hop ups. If I could afford it I'd do it too:^^: RE: Fully hopped up D3 - pickled - 12-15-2012 ![]() I especially like the toe biter bumper top mount it looks like it could do some damage lol. Just buy the hop ups a piece at a time, that's what I did! And why I'm not a hundred percent sure as to how much it cost altogether? It's a completely different car with different characteristics all of them better than the kit, you really notice how much smoother it runs it doesn't make any funny noises like the kit does i.e. belts climbing the pulley sides and I used yeah racing teflon sealed bearings, huge difference to the drive line |
