 It came out pretty good in the end. 
The FD3S turned out great! How many coats of red did you end up using before backing with gold? I've noticed that of the transparent and metallic colors, red seems to be the most transparent.

did around 3 think coats, had some test pieces done before spraying the body. But its hard to get the transparent colours really even, or its just me that have that problem

I just sprayed my FD with Spaz Stix metallic green and it came out a little splotchy. Kind of a bummer, but it looks good enough. I may end up going satin black on the RB parts, though. We'll see how it looks once it's all together. Yours came out great! |
