Hey guys figured since I got my chassis sorted I'd post some pics....

Chassis is a hpi sprint 2... Completely stock when I bought it second hand...

I then done a front motor conversion and recently fit a new 60aml esc...

Front motor swap has completely changed they way this Thing drifts and was quite an easy mod.... I flipped the motor plates and kept the motor polarity standard

Steering was the hardest part... The servo is in the factory location I modified one of the steering linkage bars and used some m3 threaded rod and remade all the links.. This simplified the set up and it now works great

Swapped the front and rear springs out for some different rates.

Nice work, Yeah Racing has a RWD conversion kit coming soon for these if you are considering going rwd down the track.

I'm already considering Wether to go down that track... Just not sure if I should master 50/50 before moving forward..? Or run through 50/50 then Cs then rwd?

Don't  bother with cs and go down the rwd route its so much easier to drive than 50/50 and a lot more fun.

That's interesting I've done alot of reading on it seems I'd need to invest in a much better platform over this unit....

On another note today I spent a couple of hours at my lhs that has an indoor carpet track... This is the first chance ive had to really test the front motor conversion and associated changes...

The car turns in alot easier and holds a drift nicely but I'm getting alot of chatter in the front end now... And my custom steering set up needs more tweaking especially if I was to try and achieve more lock...

I have plenty of time on my hands at present due to an injury [Image: cb7d807148d24d2f58da49979942a08e.jpg]

So tonight I sat down amd reconfigured my steering linkages with the front motor conversion and keeping the battery in the factory location it is very tight

Move the single toe rod the the rearward holes in the knuckles shortened the plastic link that ties the service to the left knuckle as it was binding

With the new set up now there is no binding and the steering is faster due to the change in throw

I need to source some 3mm o rings and put them in the dog bone cups to try and eliminate chatter aswell as get some cvds for the front so I can get more lock

The plastic link I shortened some more.. This is the only part the required modification other than the hole needed to mount it to eh chassis in its new location. The rest was just m3 threaded rod cut and bent to suit

Today I switched from Tamiya plugs to deans plugs now allowing me to use the 2 lipo batteries I have wasn't hard to do if you know how to solder

I started to design a custom aluminium chassis for this today... Should have the design nailed tomorrow and hopefully cut aswell...
Hoping it will make a nice upgrade when done then I'll design an upper chassis plate incorporating more belt clearance and battery clearance for hard case lipos

New chassis is cut... [Image: deae8e22f41012540f7eeacdc5a5242d.jpg][Image: 4bc493c68fbe4bd37b2a2b0c923b5b16.jpg]

However I'm not totally happy with it and I think I'll do another redesign effort taking the time to fit it.... I want it right..
