Where do you find just the body? I only seem to come across the rtr kit.

Your LHS or anyone who sells the kit should be able to order the body for you.

clear Vaterra bodies by themselves seem kind of hard to come by. I tried to get my hands in the GT-R last summer/fall and no dice.

I see now though that they've added some new cars/bodies to their lineup since I last checked and some new accessories, so maybe they've run some more bodies to sell(?)
