I am drifting with this chassis now. I think it is worth 640US$,because  the vip vision  is almost full OP.
is the steering bridge plastic or aluminum?
steering bridge is aluminum, it slides on bearings

Hi just want to know something about the CVD's? the pins that go through the joint, are they bigger in diameter than a normal CVD say from an R31 or other standardised platform? I'm asking cause I'm thinking of getting an MST axle wheel end and adding it to a 48mm shaft so just want to verify it will fit without getting the MST joint fixing?
Been daydreaming for a new car.   Really only been thinking about an OD'd TA06 or a VDS but now that I've been reading about this car, $600 doesn't seem so bad considering there isn't much bling or hop ups left to buy.   Man this car would look sexy running a Tekin motor and a NOSRAM esc!

My question is, other than aluminum goodies, are there any real differences e between the pro and the VIP?
I'd like too know where you can get it for $600? also I've answered my own question the pins that go through the cross spiders are the same as any other CVD
My bad, I underquoted!Shy

I normally avoid the more obscure brands of RC for support reasons but the XXX-D is like a RC drifter's wet dream.   What online shops carries MST parts?
MST isn't an obscure brand it is the top of the market at the moment

I know this store does but I think they're a little expensive
"Obscure" is a relative term. If i go into Hobbytown and mention drift car, those Traxxas lovers may know what a Tamiya or HPI is. If I say MST, they'd probably just stare at me with their mouthes open and try to sell me a Rally VXL. :^^: MST may be at the top of the hardcore competitive drift scene but still unknown among newbies and what I call the "Hobbytown crowd".
Speaking of obsure, not a whole lot comes up when I google "MST XXX-D". There are alot of blog sites all rehashing the same new release story but almost nothing as far as online retailers stocking parts. I already came across that site with the multi-tailed sperm logo. Ebay lists some chassis, but not damn thing when it comes to option parts or spares. At least MST sells direct.

I'm really liking this car, especially the VIP version since despite costing $650, that's still less than a VDS with drivetrain, steering, and bling upgrades. The FS is appealing to me as well. I love my TA03 but it's construction and design is really dated.
I know what you mean by the hobbytown crowd even my LHS wouldn't know what they are! they sell sakura zero but ask about a D3 and you get the same dumb stare. Can you point me in the direction of the store selling them for $650.
