eBay! That's the first place I go when I start my "research". Gawd, all day I've been daydreaming of a red XXX-D with a red electronics and what not. I even found a red heatsink case for my airtronics servo!
Been looking at the other MST kits and am really impressed with what they offer for the money. I've been a die-hard Tamiya fanboy since the 80's so for me it's Tamiya or nothing. But then again, if that NIB VDS was really going for $300... :

lol I should of checked eBay first $629 for me
Does the XXX-D VIP come with a FOW?

The VIP version came with a Fow, the MST XXX-D Pro chassis comes with a ball diff for the front
I think I'll be getting one in march? the VIP version. has anyone bought one from eBay? Cause they're supposed to come with a limited edition T-shirt? just wondering if they got it with it?
Does the Pro have FRP chassis plates or carbon fiber? I read somewhere it's FRP but every single picture I see of it shows carbon fiber. The MST site isn't very helpful either. Nice pictures but not very in depth when it comes to kit description, kit-specific parts listing, etc.
Was really juiced to get a VIP but beginning to feel gun shy on pulling the trigger on what's going to end up being a $700 purchase.
$700 plus when you include motor, ESC, servo and RX. that eBay site doesn't include the T-shirt.
you'll end up upgrading it anyway might as well get it optioned to start with. still need to get the alloy uprights for the fully option VIP as well
That's why I wish the website was more specific. The suspension knuckles they list, are they chassis specific or do they fit the entire MST line? At least I found somewhere I could get the vertical battery mount ^_^
My buddy priced out a XXX VIP with the electonics he wants. He's going to spend just north of $1200!
holy sh*t that's expensive. The knuckles are the same across the range
not too bad... most high end chassis are 1000-1500 fully decked out
