Hey which model did you go with? The VIP or the PRO? And what are the real differences that you have read or heard about?
I went with the VIP, BUT, if I would've took another 10 minutes and did a little bit more research I probably would've went with a Pro.

The differences between the Pro and VIP are:

-Chassis plates. The VIP uses full CF plates where the Pro has FRP but with CF surfaces. That's why every picture you see of the Pro appears to have CF chassis plates.

-VIP has a front one way and rear alloy spool. Pro has front ball diff and rear delrin spool.

-98%. The VIP has supposedly 98% of XXX-D Options available. Compare pics and you'll see the VIP has alot of colorful wholesome blingness going on.

-$300. Almost at least. The VIP is almost $300 more than a Pro.

If you were to buy a Pro with the other 98% of option parts it ends up costing more than a VIP though. I probably would've been happy with a Pro, FOW, and alloy upper stiffeners though. For roughly another $150 though the VIP is suddenly within reach.
$660 is alot for a toy car rolling chassis. Shi+, I could of paid off my Snap On bill with that. But it ends up being a value if you're into chassis bling. My buddy has alot more in his VDF after all the Active and Overdose stuff.

MST XXX-D Pro

I personally hope more people get this chassis. More people people using means more people trying different things. The Pro cost just as much if not a little less than alot of top level drift cars; VDF, VDS, E4D MF Pro, etc...
lol It would say on the box "this is not a toy" and "not suitable for children". It's a Radio Control Model lol
Hey guys, what do you think about the steering system? It seems like maybe an improvment over the MS-01d. I imagine my next car will be the XXX-D-VIP, but that might be a year from now. I was pretty set on buying it for about a month, but kind of chickened out and went with the MS-01D VIP. I already had a basic MS-01d, so I went with what I know. Super happy with the purchase though. Anyway, do you think the steering setup is an improvment?

Anyway, real reason for posting, over at MST shop at DriftWorks on the "Show Your MST Wheels" thread, James said that there is something big coming for MST owners in 2-3 weeks. I don't think it could be a new chassis, but they might be tweaking something? Who knows, could be something small, like new wheels.
lol probably more colour options!
Yeah, I got no clue. They announced their new chassis way ahead of time, and they already have mid, front and shaft. New colors make more sense than new wheels or anything like that, I don't think he would refer to it as big. I was thinking maybe incorporate the xxx-d-vip steering into the other chassis, or something of that nature.

I mean, they designed the xxx-d-vip after the ms. Moving forward. It must be better. That's kind of why I was asking.
xxx rtr?  Blue VIP?  Red Pro?  Free XXX'es for the 1st 100 emails?
yeah I'll warm up thunderbird lol
Just order my XXX-D VIP in black. From what I've been reading looks like Im going to love this thing.

k0di did you go with the FM or the RM? I think you're going to love the shi7 out of it!

If you don't already have one on hand you'll need a 64p pinion gear (26-30t). I found my standard sized servo was 2mm too high for the supplied servo mounts. Not sure if this is a problem on the RM.
