Just completed the Belt install... Hells horses that was a mission!
lol it's easier if you take the rear pulley mount of then mount the belts then re install

I'm on the same boat as you man, my girl tells me its a waste of money and tells me to give her that money so she can go shopping instead. She crazy.

Hey I'd be saying go get a job if you want money lol
hi ive had a look around at what is on the market in the drift scene, i saw the 3racing chassis and it looks like nice, i want to get into cs drift is this chassis a good choice? i dont really want to spend bags of money on a top drift car at the moment, ive raced rc cars for many years, so know that the 3racing chassis is a very low cost car, will it give me a good intro to cs drift? any must do's on the car to improve? what turn brushless motor is a good choice?

thanks ross
Ok sliders I'll try to answer your questions here.

essentials:- a front one way, some M3 washers to lift the rear pulley mount (tilts it back a little and tensions the centre belt) 0.5mm(rear) 1mm(front), I recommend getting either the wide angle CVD's (always rebuild the CVD's when you get them either in the kit or as option parts) or some SSK's as they'll reduce wheel chatter at full lock with the stock steering sweepers.

optional parts:- alloy suspension mounts and 1mm M3 washers (don't forget to get the suspension balls tamiya ones fit too.), spur gear support.
3 racing released a new rear bulkhead bearing holder with a tensioner pulley mounted to solve that center belt slop..

So, I've had my Sakura D3 for a while now. Not driven it yet as I still need to move the centerpulley. But the geardiff is in and everything else is set. I have made a sortof chassis review which you can find here:  http://wreckitsideways.com/2013/02/20/bu...d3-part-1/  In part 2 of the build thread I will show all the mods I've done so far to make it a capable FWD racer.

One thing I would like to ask here is if anyone has found a better way to mount shorty batteries in the stock plastic tub? For one its hard to get the battery in the chassis and second keeping it in place with the rubber bands is not very pretty. I would like to cut off the braces for the battery and install some carbon battery holders or something, but I'm afraid that it might weaken the chassis tub too much.
Can someone please list The 5 must have upgrade/ have to included in the D3 kit?

Here is my list:

-One Way Diff
- High angle CVA
- High Angle alum bell crank
- Center Belt Tensioner
- Alum pulley

what else other than this list that's needed?

also, what Pulley usually put to improve counter steer?

Thanks
Can someone give me some advise on the best way to reduce the steering slop? I have the high angle CV's, and Alu Steering Rack. I have the end points set on the TX too, so as not to destroy the steering prematurely.

Only after a week of running it, the steering has some crazy play, especially on the left hand side, as it seems to compound the play on both sides there.

Is there a part number for replacement bearings? Maybe a mod that someone has come up with?

Cheers
